Action on Cancer

Impact looks like… early action, saving lives.

Action on Cancer

A collaborative NHS-led initiative bringing together local partners to improve cancer outcomes through prevention, early diagnosis, and public awareness.

What they asked
To raise awareness of cancer risk, symptoms and screening - reaching people who might otherwise delay or avoid taking action.

The campaign needed to encourage earlier intervention, increase screening uptake, and promote healthier lifestyle choices, all without relying on fear-based messaging.

What we did
We created a bold, highly visual awareness campaign designed to cut through in everyday environments. A positive message that pushed change.

Using vibrant colour, hand-drawn typography and simple illustrations, we made serious messages feel approachable and human. The focus was on clarity and action - encouraging people to notice symptoms, attend screening, and make small, meaningful changes.

A flexible visual system, including a simplified “C” marque with a vibrant palette, ensured brand consistency across formats and future rollout.

“…Clearer communications helped donors understand the scale and impact of the charity’s work…”

The team at Wodehouse is fantastic. Creative, professional and completely reliable. Even when I know I have given them a ridiculous brief or impossible deadline, they still come up with the goods - and they do it all with a smile. I don’t know what I would do without them.
